Stephen P. Howarth, D.M.D.
Dr. Howarth is a Delaware County native and graduated from Springfield High School. He attended Penn State University receiving his B.S. in finance and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, receiving his D.M.D.
His background includes 10 years of teaching Preclinical & Clinical Dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania where he became one of six clinical group leaders. Additionally, he taught physiology for two years at Penn State University.
Like his father before him, Dr. Willard A. Howarth, he is a member of the Mathew Cryer Society, a distinction honored to the top 10 dental students in his class at Penn. He is also a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, representing the top 10% of Dental Students in the country.
He is a member in good standing of the AGC (Academy of General Dentistry), the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Delaware/Chester County Dental Association.
He is married to Janet, and is the father of Kristin, Jennifer and Steve Jr. In addition to his love for model railroading, he also enjoys woodworking, photography, backpacking, and is in the never-ending process of restoring his 135 year old home
Stephen P. Howarth, Jr., D.M.D.
Dr.Howarth is a native of Delaware County and graduated Marple Newtown High School. He then attended Penn State University and received a B.S. in Life Sciences and was honored by graduating Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Howarth is the third generation of his family to receive his dental education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where he graduated with his D.M.D. and was awarded with the ICOI Predoctoral Student Achievement Award.
Dr. Howarth is a current member of the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Delaware/Chester County Dental Association. When he is not practicing dentistry, he enjoys trips into the city with his wife, Nicole. Both of them are avid fans of Penn State football and frequently attend games.
"Dr. Steve" is excited to be following his grandfather and father into the family practice which spans almost 70 years! For those who have not yet met him, stop in and say hello!
